Description  One of 4 giant seated statues of Ramsses II which adorn the entrance to the temple of the sun which Ramsses dedicated to his beloved wife Nefertari seen stood next to his right lower leg.

The temple of Abu Simbel is about 3000 years old

 Additional Information In the 1960's the temple was rescued and re-sited further up the bank to avoid being lost forever under the newly built lake Nasser.
